Let us find your Ancestors
Most individuals and families have gathered, through family sources and their own efforts, available information on their family tree and now need help to extend these lines, especially when ancestors may be elusive or just hard to find. Much like picking apples, the lower fruit is easily picked first and the apples in the tops of the trees and on slender limbs are more difficult to pick and put in the basket.
We maintain a staff of full time researchers who focus wholly in their areas of expertise in extending ancestries such as British, Irish, Scottish, German, English, American, Scandivanian, Spanish, eastern European and other nationalities in key countries of the world.
More than just a Family Search
The vast majority of our research is conducted in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Family History Library owned and maintained by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Occasionally we may send off for records not available at the Family History Library to aid in our research efforts. Additionally, we communicate with a network of world wide research agents living outside of Salt Lake City, and the United States, whom we may ask to assist in examining records which have not yet been microfilmed or made available to the Family History Library. We feel that we can effectively gain access to the trails left behind the lives of our ancestors.
Book of Remembrance
A completed Book of Remembrance, is your genealogy, charting out all known pedigree charts, possibly back to Adam, and then compiling the family group sheets, usually back to the early 1600's. All ancestor are direct; without them, you would not be. We usually print this out in an 8 ½ x 14 inch format, due to the volume of ancestors, assembling the pages in a hard binder with organized tabs. Often these books are over eight inches thick and are very very impressive. Once a Book of Remembrance has been compiled, copies can be made for siblings, children, or extended family members. These become very popular at Christmas, for birthdays, and anniversaries. Since all data is computerized, we provide a CD with each book, or as many as you would like.
A benefit of having your genealogy gathered, organized and beautifully compiled, is to see where your lines have ended. This allows your family to see which lines may need more attention, and may open the doors for research to extend lines and find new families for temple work. Compiling a Book of Remembrance is generally a 12 week process.
